Used to assess whether or not the biceps tendon is stable within the groove, as well as for the presence of biceps tendinopathies

Steps:

  1. Patient flexes the elbow to 90 degrees
  2. Examiner holds the elbow of the arm being tested in one hand, and with the other the physician externally rotates the arm and pull downward while asking the patient to resist

Test is considered to be positive with pain at the bicipital groove. A popping sensation may also be experienced
