Speeds Test

Used to test for biceps tendinopathy

Steps:

  1. Begin with the patient’s arm flexed to 90 degrees, the elbow extended, and the hand fully supinated
  2. Ask patient to resist a downward force applied by the examiner to the hand

Test is considered to be positive with pain at the shoulder/biceps tendon
