Used to test for issues with patellar tracking or chondromalacia
- Doctor applies a compressive force to the proximal patella moving it into the trochlear groove.
- The patient is then instructed to activate the quadriceps muscle by contracting their quadriceps
Test is considered to be positive when pain, crepitus, or grinding occurs
