You are here:
- Palpate the muscle areas for tightness
- Bring origin and insertion of muscle together (aka ‘smush’ the muscles)
- Motion test cephalad and caudad for direction of ease
- Move muscle into direction of ease and hold
- With the position maintained, repeat for medial/ lateral and clockwise/counterclockwise and stack these different planes
- Hold tissue in all three planes until a ‘release’ is felt
- Unstack in reverse order of stacking in previous step
